The Position

We’re looking for an energetic, organized and resourceful HR Manager to help bring on new employees and make sure existing employees thrive at Chime. This position is the first HR hire at the company and will work with our senior team to build our HR policies, manage employee benefits, implement new employee success tools, manage performance reviews and promote our culture. You’ll also play a key role in sourcing, recruiting and onboarding new employees.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the formalization and implementation of HR policies and procedures for the company, including talent acquisition, employment processing, compensation, health and wellness benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, employee relations and retention, among other things
  • Work with the leadership team to structure and execute a recruiting strategy that supports our aggressive growth plans. You’ll contribute to all aspects of the hiring process including recruiting, orientation, training, coaching and onboarding
  • Be the go-to point of contact on all things employee success related
  • Implement and manage an employee performance evaluation and planning program
  • Monitor the "pulse" of employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement
  • Organize regular outings and team building activities

About You

  • You have 5+ years experience in HR / Talent at a high growth organization
  • You have experience building HR programs from the ground up
  • You have experience running recruiting processes including candidate identification, screening, interview management and onboarding
  • You have a solid understanding of payroll, compensation, benefits, disciplinary procedures and talent development management
  • You have the ability to think creatively about employee success programs that would further Chime’s mission and set us apart as an employer
  • You have the operational chops to keep the trains running on time
  • You have exceptional communication and organization skills
  • You’re a hustler and thrive in in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
